New Community Center Opens Downtown

The TurnUpCity Community Center is now open, featuring a state-of-the-art fitness facility, meeting rooms, and recreational spaces for all ages.

The 50,000 square foot facility includes:

  • Full gymnasium with basketball courts
  • Modern fitness center with cardio and weight equipment
  • Indoor walking track
  • Multipurpose rooms for classes and events
  • Teen game room
  • Senior activity center

The Oak Street Neighborhood Association received the Mayor’s Beautification Award for their work including:

  • Community garden installation
  • Tree planting initiative (100+ trees)
  • Street cleanup events
  • Holiday decoration programs

“This award recognizes the dedication of our residents who take pride in their community,” said Mayor Thompson.
