New Community Center Opens Downtown

The TurnUpCity Community Center is now open, featuring a state-of-the-art fitness facility, meeting rooms, and recreational spaces for all ages.

The 50,000 square foot facility includes:

  • Full gymnasium with basketball courts
  • Modern fitness center with cardio and weight equipment
  • Indoor walking track
  • Multipurpose rooms for classes and events
  • Teen game room
  • Senior activity center

City Council Approves New Parks Initiative

A $5 million investment in green spaces will create three new parks and upgrade existing facilities across the city.

The initiative, approved unanimously by the City Council, includes:

  • Construction of Riverside Park (15 acres)
  • Development of Oak Street Playground
  • Creation of Meadowbrook Nature Preserve
  • Upgrades to existing park facilities

Construction is expected to begin in spring and be completed within 18 months.
